Each account opening in the UAE requires an individual Due Diligence (DD) and KYC (Know Your Client) process. However, in general, the following documents are required to open a corporate account in the UAE:

  • Commercial license of incorporated company (Mainland or Freezone)

  • Memorandum of Association (MOA)

  • board resolution

  • proof of address

Considering the increasing global demands on the economic substance of companies, a valid rental agreement and proof that the authorized signatory is a UAE resident (Emirates ID) is required.


Once these documents are in place and the Emirates ID (Permanent Residence) is issued, the bank account in Dubai can be opened. Account opening in Dubai takes approximately 2 weeks. 


In principle, anyone can open a savings account in the UAE under certain conditions. However, it should be noted that as a non-resident, you fall under the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). This means that the bank is obliged to exchange tax-relevant information between states.

For opening a private account in the UAE, only the following documents are generally required for the KYC process:
